As we approach the end of 2023, reflecting on how swiftly the year has passed has been interesting. It feels like just yesterday, we were introducing Amber on the support desk. Our team has grown substantially, enhancing our operations and bringing extensive clinical knowledge to the forefront. With new Service Level Agreements and quarterly or monthly support reporting, we have focused on improving our communication with you to maintain our high standards.

This year has also seen significant developments in compliance, particularly in the NDIS and Aged Care sectors. We are closely following the rollout of the new PACE system by the National Disability Insurance Agency, which is set to transform service billing using NDIS funding. Starting from 30th October 2023, this system promises more flexibility in funding categories and a streamlined billing process, enhancing participant control over their plans.

The anticipation for the new funding model continues in the Aged Care sector. Key reforms include introducing new governing body requirements and advisory bodies from 1st December 2023 to enhance quality and accountability in aged care services. The sector is also preparing for the release of the Aged Care Clinical Information Systems Standard by the Australian Digital Health Agency, which will set guidelines for managing residents’ data/records in aged care.

In line with these changes, we’re excited about our Ezihealth CRM, a significant project that’s set to revolutionise how we support clinical management and communication for the growing compliance requirements. The new Clinical Module addresses the ever-increasing need for Clinical Governance in care provided by non-clinical staff, a topic underscored by a talk I saw by Dr. Melanie Tan at the ACCPA National Conference.

All of the businesses we spoke with this week were exploring precisely this and how Person-Centred Care Planning could be followed up in home by your non clinical Care Staff. We can now supply you with a tool to do just this, and Mel and the providers we have shown our new clinical module agreed. We are confident this tool will be valuable in ensuring compliance and enhancing care quality. Our advancements in reporting capabilities, both clinical for audits and business for managing staffing and efficiency, will simplify your workload significantly. With our new integrations, generating reports is now quicker and more efficient.
